ISLANDS OFF SPAIN, Ebusus. 2nd century BC. Quarter Unit (Bronze, 17 mm, 3.58 g, 2 h). Bes standing facing, holding mace in his right hand and serpent in his left. Rev. Bull butting left. ACIP 719. SNG BM Spain 318-21. SNG Copenhagen 86-8. A lovely example with an attractive reddish patina. Somewhat smoothed, otherwise, good very fine.
